Hissing Summer Heat

It had been sweltering outside - like a dry sauna - until the rains came today. Afterward it seemed almost bearable, with breezes and clouds to cover the torturous sun. And calm, quiet. It will be like a sauna again tomorrow, but wet, with ravenous mosquitos that attack and searing heat that burns the flesh.
Summer has arrived.
